Villa Blotto is an Iconic villa in Lakka, Greece. It probably has the best view over Lakka Bay of any property.
The Villa got its name from the legendary parties that used to take place in the downstairs bar. Alas, the bar is now a self-contained apartment. There is now a new Bar on the pool Terrace.
If you search for Lakka on Instagram you will see the Villa Blotto in many photos. The location is simply stunning. Built on a steep cliff side the infinity pool looks out over the bay and the land goes all the way down to the sea. No need for a car when staying here. You can Walk or Swim across to the shops, bars, and restaurants in Lakka.
No need for a TV either, the view from the lounge/dining room is mesmerizing with boats and ferries coming and going. The view is ever-changing. The property faces west and you can soak up the evening sun until the very last minute until the sun dips down over Lakka bay and the Mediterranean beyond.
There are 4 Bedrooms 2 with King size beds and 2 with Queen Size beds. 3 of the bedrooms have inside bathrooms and the 4 bedroom has a bathroom that is beside the room but can also be used by others during the day. All bedrooms open out onto terraces so there is a real feeling of space.
One of the bedrooms is on the mezzanine floor and has a wonderful view across the Lakka bay albeit the window is small. There is a king-size bed and two single beds within the roof space. There is an en suite bathroom and it is a magical double room or a cozy den for teenagers.
On the floor below one bedroom overlooks the bay. One Bedroom overlooks the swimming pool and there is one bedroom at the back of the house that faces the village and catches the early morning sunshine.
To enjoy this spectacular location perched on the cliff side there is a downside. It is a steep climb up to the house, it does not have wheelchair access. The villa is extremely private and almost feels as though you are staying in a castle looking out over Lakka.
A caretaker will be staying in the apartment below the Villa But you will not know she is there. She will arrange for the villa to be cleaned and the linen changed twice a week. A pool man will visit now and again to ensure the swimming pool is sparkling.
There is a large area around the swimming pool with Sun loungers and even a second outside kitchen for BBQs and entertaining.
